"Show and Tell" is that term of often unconquerable mass that pests prose writers of all skill levels. It seems to bore its way into any and every piece of prose we write, then cause semi-catastrophic issues, cause us to draft and redraft, and when we finally think we're finished, it sneaks in as soon as we turn our backs. It is a beast. A ravenous, eight-legged, two-headed, fanged, man-(or writer, rather) eating monster that taunts us from the depths of our minds. It'll kick and claw until you chop its legs off, then it'll bite, and if you bash its teeth out, it'll gum you until it is finally beaten to death.
